The ingredients needed to make Stuffed Besan Chilla:
  1. Take 1/2 cup Besan
  2. Get 1-2 pinch Hing/Asafoetida
  3. Make ready 1/4 tsp Coriander Powder
  4. Get as needed Few Coriander leaves finely chopped
  5. Prepare as required Water to make thin smooth batter
  6. Make ready as per taste Salt
  7. Prepare as required Oil for cooking chilla
  8. Make ready For stuffing:-
  9. Make ready 1 Tbsp oil
  10. Take 1/4 cup homemade paneer grated
  11. Get 1/4 cup onion chopped
  12. Make ready 1/4 cup capsicum chopped
  13. Make ready 1/4 cup carrot finely chopped
  14. Take 1/4 cup Tomato finely chopped
  15. Make ready 2 green chillies finely chopped
  16. Take 3 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
  17. Make ready 1 tsp ginger finely chopped
  18. Prepare 3-4 Curry leaves chopped
  19. Get as per taste Salt
  20. Get 1/4 tsp Black Pepper powder
Instructions to make Stuffed Besan Chilla:
  1. For preparing Besan Chilla batter: - - In a large bowl combine besan, hing, Coriander powder, salt and few chopped Coriander leaves together. Then add water as needed to make a lump free & smooth thin batter. Mix well. Check salt and spice levels as per taste. Keep the batter aside.
  2. For making stuffing:- - Heat 1 Tbsp of oil in a pan/ wok on medium flame. Add ginger and green chilli first and sautē for few seconds. Then add onion and saute till the raw aroma of ginger disappears. After 1-2 mins onion will becomes translucent.
  3. Now add carrots, capsicum, tomatoes, curry leaves. Sautē for 2 mins or till Veggie turn crunchy. Add black pepper powder, salt and Coriander leaves. Mix well and stir constantly for 1 mins.
  4. Turn off the gas and let the Veggie Mixture cool down. - Lastly, add grated paneer in the veggies mixture. Mix it well.
  5. When your stuffing and Besan batter is ready. - Place the Tawa on medium heat and spread little oil evenly on the tawa. Pour a large 1 to 2 spoon full of batter on hot tawa. Spread batter in a circular motion. Make Chilla slightly thick.
  6. After 1 min, the top of the Chilla looks cooked, add little drop of oil on top & side as well. Cook for 1 min more. Then Flip and cook on the other side for a few seconds.
  7. Flip once again. Reduce the gas to low and place 2 to 3 tbsp of Stuffing mixture in the center of Chilla.
  8. Fold Chilla from both side or in half. - Then transfer the Besan Chilla to a plate and serve hot.
