Hey everyone, I hope you’re having an incredible day today. Today, we’re going to prepare a distinctive dish, khandvi. One of my favorites. For mine, I am going to make it a little bit unique. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

Khandvi is one of the most popular of recent trending meals on earth. It is simple, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. It is appreciated by millions every day. Khandvi is something that I’ve loved my whole life. They are nice and they look wonderful.

To begin with this particular recipe, we have to first prepare a few components. You can have khandvi using 14 ingredients and 21 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Khandvi:
  1. Take For Khandvi:
  2. Prepare 3/4 cup besan / chickpea flour / gram flour
  3. Take 1/2 tsp turmeric powder / haldi
  4. Get to taste salt
  5. Prepare 2 cups buttermilk or 1 cup curd + 1 cup water
  6. Make ready 4 tbsp fresh coconut, grated
  7. Get 4 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped
  8. Prepare pinch asafoetida / hing
  9. Get For Tadka:
  10. Prepare 3 tsp oil
  11. Prepare 1 tsp mustard seeds / rai
  12. Make ready 2-4 green chillies
  13. Make ready Few curry leaves, chopped
  14. Make ready pinch asafoetida / hing
Instructions to make Khandvi:
  1. In a small vessel take sieved besan.
  2. Add turmeric and salt to taste.
  3. Mix well, and add 2 cups of buttermilk.
  4. Mix well with a whisk forming a smooth flowing consistency.
  5. Now pour the batter into a pan and put it on low flame.
  6. Keep stiring the mixture else it will stick to bottom or develop lump.
  7. Keep cooking and stirring for 10 minutes till the batter gets thickened.
  8. After 10 minutes when the batter is thick enough apply the batter on a greased bottom of a steel bowl / dish.
  9. Leave it for sometime. (2-3 minutes)
  10. Now try to roll it. If it rolls properly then your batter is ready.
  11. If it doesn't roll, then cook and stir for another 2-3 minutes.
  12. Take a steel dish and apply oil of both sides. (you can also use a plastic wrap)
  13. Now spread thick batter with spatula and hands on both sides of the steel dish. (Spread a thin layer not to thick)
  14. Make cuts with knife on the spread batter.
  15. And roll the Khandvi. The dish should look clean once you roll it.
  16. Now your Khandvi rolls are ready.
  17. Now, heat 3 tsp oil in a pan.
  18. Add mustard seeds, green chilies, curry leaves and hing to it.
  19. Once the tadka splutter, pour it over the khandvi.
  20. Garnish the khanvi with some grated coconut and coriander leaves.
  21. Gujarati khandvi is ready to serve.
