Heat Kadhai and Dry roast Moong dal for 5 minutes or till it’s roasted completely.
Likewise dry roast all the dals/lentils separately till they change into golden brown. Now add red chillies and required amount of salt too. I’ve added rock salt., you can add table salt too. Now roast them for one more minute and switch off the flame. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly for few seconds.
Now transfer the roasted ingredients onto a plate and allow to completely cool down to normal temperature. To increase the shelf life we have to grind the powder when the roasted ingredients are at room temperature.
Transfer the roasted ingredients into a clean and dry mixer grinder. Grind the roasted ingredients till it turns into a fine powder.
Now the traditional recipe kandi podi/Andhra lentils powder is ready to serve. Transfer the Andhra lentils powder onto a bowl and keep it there for few minutes.,because while grinding some amount of heat generates. So it takes few minutes to come down to normal temperature.
